 About DG

Dance Graffiti is a project created to fuse mural art and dance. The interaction between these two mediums creates a more gritty, yet graceful picture of what dance can be. Sometimes going to see the ballet in a theater might feel a little too foreign.  But Dance Graffiti uses the murals you might walk by every day as a backdrop.

DG also brings muralists and dancers together, two art forms usually separated, to create a fresh take on arts collaboration . Follow us on Instagram and contact us to get involved!

1. For Dancers- use a pic that you already have or search for local murals to shoot in front of!

For Wall Artists- search for a dancer to shoot with!

2. Make sure not to use any fisheye or effects on the pic, so that the art isn’t obscured.

3. Try to capture the whole mural or a cool part of it!

4. Give us the name and IG handles of the involved artists. (Dancers, wall artists, and photo credit)

5. Tag and hashtag us in your #dancegraffiti post! And we’ll select photos to feature ✨
